St Marys Hotel is ideally positioned between Bay of Fires and the Freycinet National Park /Wineglass Bay, 20 minutes from the scenic beaches of the East Coast. The town of St Marys is at the head of the Fingal Valley, on the Esk Highway on the East Coast of Tasmania approximately 10km from the coast. The Esk Highway runs roughly east to west and joins the Midland Highway north of Campbell Town. It is the most direct road from St Helens via St Marys Pass and Bicheno via Elephant Pass to Launceston, a 1hr 40 minute (130kms) drive. St Marys is a 240 kilometre drive north east of Hobart ,2 and a half hours via the Midland Highway and a 3 hr drive via Bicheno along the coast. It is a signed tourist route with a constant flow of traffic travelling both directions along the highway. Local residents of St Marys, Fingal and Scamander, visit the hotel regularly for what is considered to be excellent value for money meals, friendly company, live music and a great atmosphere.
